the Westmount Outdoor Rink project has been in the planning and fundraising stages for over two years; AND WHEREAS a total of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) in Healthy Community Initiatives (HCI) funding has been approved for the project; AND WHEREAS the Westmount Playground Association has successfully raised an additional $125,000 and secured commitments for in-kind contributions; AND WHEREAS despite diligent efforts in a challenging fundraising environment, the Association has not yet secured the remaining funds and in-kind support required to complete the project; AND WHEREAS it is critical to ensure that existing financial and in-kind commitments are not
